Your guide will lead you through the Santa Cruz district, Seville’s oldest and most atmospheric quarter with cobblestone streets with hidden squares with orange trees followed by touring two UNESCO World Heritage Sites that together tell the full arc of the city’s history. You’ll step inside the Real Alcázar — a stunning royal palace that began as a Moorish fortress and grew across centuries into a layered masterpiece still used by the Spanish royal family today, making it the oldest working royal palace in Europe.

Beside it stands the Cathedral of Seville, the world’s largest Gothic cathedral, built directly over the city’s original mosque. Its iconic Giralda Tower — once a minaret, now a bell tower — rises 105 metres above the city. Inside the cathedral, you’ll find the tomb of Christopher Columbus, whose voyages to the Americas were launched from this very city.

At the Cathedral of Seville, you’ll enter the only remaining part of the Mosque, the Patio of the Oranges, famous for its fragrant orange tree and see inside the Cathedral both the several stories high golden and enameled Altar screen with seeming life sized figures of Saints and figures from the Bible.  Inside, the tomb of Christopher Columbus adds to its historical importance, supported by larger than life bronze statues of Heralds of Arms adorned with the crests of the four Kingdoms of Spain, all in cast bronze.
