Departures from Lisbon

The tour begins with pickup from your accommodation in Lisbon. Leaving Lisbon via one of the two bridges connecting the northern and southern banks of the Tejo River this drive passes through gentle landscapes of olive groves, cork trees, and traditional villages.

1st stop: Fátima – The Spiritual Center of Portugal

Known as one of the world’s most important Catholic pilgrimage sites, Fátima invites quiet reflection and cultural appreciation. The visit includes the Chapel of the Apparitions, built on the sacred site where three shepherd children reported visions of the Virgin Mary in 1917.  Guests may also explore the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary and the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity, each representing different eras of faith and architecture. The Sanctuary’s esplanade provides a tranquil space for contemplation, photography, or browsing local religious souvenirs.

2nd stop: Batalha – A Monument to Portugal’s Independence

Portugal’s, and Europe’s, last great Gothic architectural masterpiece, the Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória. Built after Portugal’s victory at the Battle of Aljubarrota in 1385, the monastery stands as a national symbol of resilience.

Stop 3: Nazaré – Portugal’s Oceanic Wonder

The journey continues west toward the Atlantic coast, where Nazaré captivates with sweeping sea views and cultural vibrancy. From the clifftop viewpoint of Sítio, guests can admire Praia do Norte, the world-famous beach known for record-breaking waves shaped by the Nazaré Canyon. Beyond the thrill of the ocean, Nazaré retains the charm of a traditional fishing village — whitewashed homes, seafood restaurants, and markets filled with the day’s catch. It’s a perfect setting for a relaxing coastal lunch or a scenic walk by the sea.

Stop 4: Óbidos – The Enchanted Medieval Village

The final destination is the walled town of Óbidos, a beautifully preserved medieval village that feels suspended in time. Visitors enter through an ancient gate adorned with hand-painted tiles and step into a maze of cobbled streets, flower-covered balconies, and artisan shops.  The tour allows time to explore the castle walls, browse for handmade crafts, and enjoy a taste of the local cherry liqueur, Ginjinha, often served in a small chocolate cup.

Evening – Return to Lisbon

Following the exploration of Óbidos, return to your hotel in Lisbon.
